The advantage of the initiative is that the entire sporting fraternity will reap the rewards. The Burscough Stadium will cover a 20-acre site adjacent to their current Victoria Park home and will cater for fans of the football club and the community at large.

The main stadium will have a 500-seater stand, incorporating dressing rooms, offices, a large function room, community changing rooms, four executive/hospitality boxes overlooking the grounds and match day catering facilities. There will be covered terracing round all the ground to meet full Conference grading requirements. Extra facilities include a community room and classroom for sports-orientated educational purposes, available for hire by any public bodies.

The site plan also includes a full-size third generation floodlit artificial pitch, two additional full-size grass pitches and six junior pitches. To make all this happen, Burscough enlisted Robson Lloyd Consultancy Ltd., who provided the specialist expertise to devise a project plan that fully utilised grants.
